Considerations For Admission
Kindergarten admission is based on:
- Age—Child must be 5 years old by October 31 (Birth certificate or passport is required for enrollment.)
- Date of Application;
- Qualification through a Developmental Readiness test, performed on campus;
- Preschool Teacher Recommendation and Transcripts (if available);
- An interview with the child (conducted during testing session); and
- A parent interview, conducted with both parents or guardians.
* Siblings of currently enrolled students and Griffin Academy students receive priority consideration.
Grades 1-7 admission is based on:
- Date of Application;
- The results of a qualifying exam, performed on campus (SSAT or ISEE is also acceptable for students entering grades 5-7);
- A writing sample, performed during the qualifying exam;
- Westminster teacher evaluation based on observation of the student during a day-long (half-day for 1st grade applicants) visit in a class at his/her current grade level;
- Transcripts and Teacher Recommendation from child’s current school;
- An interview with the child (conducted during testing session); and
- A parent interview, conducted with both parents or guardians.
