Program Description:
A safe, enjoyable program of on-site, after-school enrichment, which provides an enriching, wholesome break from the school-day routine while also supporting and enhancing the curriculum of the Westminster program.
Mission:
To provide a well-organized, flexible and varied program of after-school enrichment classes, supported by general child care services adapted to the daily schedule.

So many things at Westminster have started with a dream. The beautiful art wing, the glorious gym, the school orchestra—all began with Mr. Glover’s vision of something better than ordinary. A new building, a new field, and state-of-the-art classrooms are in Westminster’s near future, and with these additions, many dreams will be realized. As parents in Northern Virginia struggle with the balance of family and work, Westminster envisions becoming a school where students not only thrive academically, but can develop and explore their talents on the school’s campus rather than having to travel to outside classes after a busy day at school.
Beginning in 2014, Westminster School launched an after-school enrichment program designed to help meet the interests of students and the needs of busy parents. This safe, enjoyable program of on-site, after-school classes, provide an enriching, wholesome break from the school-day routine while also supporting and enhancing the curriculum of the Westminster program. Over a semester period- fall and spring, students in grades K-4 have the opportunity to participate in soccer, basketball, ballet, guitar, jazz dance, piano, hip-hop dance, yoga and more. Qualified and professional outside vendors as well as classroom teachers provide specialized group or individual classes.
The enrichment program operates from 3:15 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. on full school days. Westminster students are enjoying the extraordinary benefits of a flexible, enriching program supported by the principles of Westminster School.
