3rd Grade Egyptian Day
The Third Grade wrapped up their study of Ancient Egyptian civilization with wonderful day of festivities — the much-anticipated, annual Egyptian Day celebration. The children came to school in wonderfully creative costumes and took part in a variety of subject-related activities, including constructing a mummy and sarcophagus, designing a senet board, and painting a colorful scarab. They also tried some delicious new foods at the Egyptian feast, including cous cous, ful medames, and hummus. The 3rd graders have concluded their study of Egypt in style and look forward to exploring the rich and varied history of Mesopotamia.
